What will I receive after my video tapes are transferred?
You can choose to receive your memories as MP4 digital video files, DVDs, or both. MP4 digital video files are ideal for watching on computers, smart TVs, tablets, and mobile devices, while DVDs are a great option for traditional home viewing.
Your original videotapes are always returned along with your completed order.
Can you transfer old, damaged, or moldy videotapes?
In many cases, yes. We successfully transfer many aging, fragile, and difficult-to-play videotapes every year. While not every damaged tape can be recovered, our professional playback equipment and experienced technicians give aging videotapes the best possible chance of a successful professional transfer.

How long does video tape transfer take?
Most video tape transfer projects are completed within 2–3 weeks, although turnaround time can vary depending on the size of your order and seasonal demand. Rush service may also be available for qualifying projects.
If you have a deadline for a special event or family gathering, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Can I mail my videotapes to Envision Video Services?
Absolutely. Customers throughout New Jersey and across the United States safely ship their videotapes to us for professional video tape transfer services. Once your project is complete, we’ll carefully return both your original tapes and your new digital copies.
We also welcome in-person drop-offs at our Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey studio as well as at our affiliates in Kenvil and Mahwah, NJ.
Will my original videotapes be returned?
Yes. Your original videotapes remain your property and are always returned after your transfer is complete. Many customers choose to keep the originals as an additional backup, even after their memories have been safely preserved in digital format.
Can you remove static, blurry video, or poor sound from my videotapes?
Every videotape is different. While no transfer can restore information that no longer exists on the original recording, our professional playback equipment and careful transfer process capture the highest quality picture and sound your videotape still contains.
We’ll always preserve your memories as faithfully as possible without artificially altering the original recording.
