How to Preserve Your Past
In honor of National Preservation Week, The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights is sponsoring a seminar entitled “How to Preserve Your Past.” This Seminar will be held in the Library’s conference room from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 and it will be hosted by Peter Gallo, Owner of Envision Video Services.
Explore ways to preserve your home movies, video tapes, photo albums, slides, letters, and paper documents which are a vital link to your past. It’s on vinyl, tape, film and paper – your memories, your creations, your collections, all your media memorabilia.
In analog form, the content is difficult and time-consuming to organize and access. It takes up a lot of space and it is slowly degrading. The solution is to digitize, preserve and organize it. Speaker Peter Gallo will provide you with tips and tricks on how you can do this easily and inexpensively all from the comforts of your own home.
Pete will share with you his knowledge and experience to help you determine how you can address preserving your collections for future generations before they are lost forever.
